January and February Book Haul

Hello, friends! Long time no book! It’s been a busy couple of months for me, but never fear! I’m always acquiring new books! But alas, I did myself a solid during this time away. I actually whittled my TBR pile down. Moving across the country will do that to a person. But I didn’t just do it with physical books. I trimmed my ebooks as well. That took a good long while to get through, but I did it.

When I started this my total TBR pile was creeping toward 1,400 books. Now I’m at 632 based on my Goodreads number. And even then that number is probably a little high. When I was trying to reconcile the Goodreads and StoryGraph numbers I saw some titles on there that had no business being there. Titles that were never in my wheelhouse to begin with (like some kind of Elvis fanfic? WTF?). So it’s probably a little lower. Still, I weeded out more than half of my books. Maybe now I actually have a hope of making a dent in it.

That’s assuming I’m even reading. I haven’t really done that since before Christmas. Like I said. I’ve been busy.

Anyway, lets get to the books. It’s really not a lot. I promise.

Just one physical book. Honestly it wasn’t much of a lift to not buy books these last couple of months. My head just wasn’t in it. It was one more thing I needed to pack or ship or lug across the country. Don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll make up for it soon enough.

And now the ebooks.

Ten books in two months. I’m going to pat myself on the back with that one. And that last title is an ARC, so it doesn’t really count. Because I said so. Now I just need to get back into the groove of reading…
