Bites
July 5, 2011
I feel confident this month. I think I really pounded some books. I know I made a nominal dent because I got ahead in my reading challenge on Goodreads. I love counters. Now let’s see how I really did. You know the drill. The pile at the beginning of the year –

In May my numbers jumped from 255 to 286 thanks in large part to BEA. Gotta love it. I know I knocked a bunch off of NetGalley just due to process of elimination. I read through the blurbs of all the books I had and weeded out the ones I was no longer interested in. I think I chopped off about a dozen. That still left me with a sizable list but it’s not all that daunting anymore. A little weight can mean a lot. This month, I’m down to 279. Not big but not bad, especially compared to prior months when I’d only go down a book or two. I can pat myself on the back for that one.
